
L Torres is a NYC writer, educator and artivist. L holds an MFA in Creative Writing from CUNY and is a former LaGuardia Performing Arts Center Grantee, Not-Yet-Free Artivist, and Louis Armstrong House Writer-in-Residence. L is also a former co-editor of Armstrong Literary Magazine and a 2019 Dorland Mountain Arts Resident. She has showcased her writing at the Inspired Word Series, Queens Literary Festivals, the International Women’s Artist Salon and Local Project. L’s work has been featured in Lost & Found: The CUNY Poetics Document Initiative. She is the author of The Taste of Broken, a digital poetry chapbook on endometriosis.
An unwavering artivist, L’s writing zeroes in on gender/racial/(dis)ability/class/age/body size equitability and justice, while dismantling social conventions.
